Abstract
The Sichuan-to-East Gas Transmission pipeline is one of the most important natural gas transmission pipelines in China and the route length is 1559km.Through the geological hazards investigation and assessment along the pipeline, the author concluded that:1) There are many terrain types and geological strures along the pipeline where the geotechnic and hydrogeological characters are different,in addition to the strong human engineering activities, the geological hazards are developing strongly.2) There are 260 pionts of hidden dangers of geological disasters, which collapses were 88,landslides were 52,debris flows were 10,land subsidence were 36 andpotentially unstable slopes were 74 in the study area.3)There are 16 points of the great risk of geological disasters were assessmented, and the risk of moderate were 9.4) By studying each type of geological disaster prevention countermeasures, then put forward the safety of the pipeline project along the geological environment on the basis of basic geological and technical.
